Our Verdict
The Ulanzi UA12 stands out as one of the most innovative lighting tools I have tested this year. By combining an inflatable air tube design with a powerful 12W LED, the Ulanzi UA12 manages to provide impressive, diffused light without the bulk of traditional light bars.
Performance & Build Quality
The build quality is surprisingly robust given its inflatable nature, feeling durable enough to withstand frequent travel in a gear bag. The magnetic mount is a standout feature, allowing for secure attachment to various metal surfaces, which adds significant versatility to the compact 12-watt unit.
Day-to-Day Experience
Using the light is straightforward, with a seamless transition between 2700K and 6500K color temperatures that makes it easy to match ambient lighting. I found the 75-minute runtime at full brightness to be more than adequate for my typical livestreaming sessions.
This light is ideal for content creators and streamers who need a highly portable, budget-friendly lighting solution that fits right in a pocket.
Final Thoughts
With a solid 4.74/5 rating, the Ulanzi UA12 is an easy recommendation for anyone looking to upgrade their lighting setup on a budget. At $9.99, it is difficult to find a more versatile or convenient tool for your daily content creation needs.
